The Metro Atlanta Chamber launched Connect to Work GA through a partnership with the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and Skills for America’s Future to support the unemployed and underemployed Atlantans looking for quality jobs and a path to economic mobility.

Across metro Atlanta, job seekers search for opportunities and employers seek qualified talent. Often, they struggle to connect. But those connections are made when they use Connect to Work GA, powered by Skills for America’s Future (Skills), a jobs-first model through the Metro Atlanta Chamber. As the direct link between applicants and employers, we help ensure more of our Atlanta neighbors can get the connections and support they need to secure quality jobs.

What is Connect to Work GA?

Connect to Work GA is an innovative workforce program designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers. We focus on connecting unemployed and underemployed individuals, particularly from underinvested communities, with sustainable job opportunities through skills-based hiring and equitable employment practices.

Who is eligible to participate in Connect to Work GA?

The program is open to unemployed or underemployed individuals who are seeking meaningful employment opportunities. We primarily focus on candidates from underinvested communities in the Metro Atlanta region.

What industries or employers are part of the program?

Employers in the logistics and warehousing industry are currently encouraged to partner with Connect to Work GA.

How is Connect to Work GA different from other workforce programs?

We use a “jobs-first model,” starting with employers to understand their hiring needs and company culture. This approach allows us to directly connect job-ready candidates in our talent pool to positions, bridging gaps in employment while fostering equitable hiring practices.
