Finding Work for Job Seekers, Talent for Employers

Across metro Atlanta, job seekers are looking for quality jobs, and employers are in need of skilled talent. Yet, these valuable connections often remain out of reach. Connect to Work GA, powered by Skills for America’s Future and the Metro Atlanta Chamber, is changing that. We are the direct link between applicants and employers, nurturing strong partnerships with community-based organizations and local employers to help job seekers find meaningful work and employers discover the talent they need to grow.

We’re starting with entry-level roles in Frontline Warehouse & Logistics—industries that offer not just jobs, but clear pathways to advancement. As we expand, more sectors will be included, creating even more opportunities. Backed by a study from the Burning Glass Institute that analyzed 51 million job postings, we’re seeing a major shift toward skills-based hiring. With many companies no longer requiring degrees, our model ensures job seekers have the support, training, and connections to thrive in today’s workforce.

Who’s Eligible to Apply with Connect to Work GA

As the connection between applicants and employers, Connect to Work GA is designed to help the unemployed or individuals working less than 32 hours a week, or outside of their field of training, land a rewarding job. The program is especially focused on connecting diverse talent to local employers, helping employers better reflect the communities they serve and individuals obtain quality employment within their career paths.

We’ve flipped the traditional workforce development model. We begin with a job-first approach, working directly with companies to identify their hiring needs. We then recruit diverse job seekers who are unemployed or underemployed—working under 32 hours a week or working outside their field—from our talent pool to fill those open opportunities.
